Process Explorer while running Skype might help tell you what it's doing whilst it consumes the CPU. Also, I agree with the antivirus post - see if removing or disabling your A/V makes a difference.
that's the problem!! the AV (Kaspersky) .. now i'm listening too big music files and aslo send via skype normal, because i stop the AV...

i opened the task manager, and when send file, skype uses about 50-80 CPU.. when finished sending, it uses 00, 01 ... why it needs so many memory to proceed this operation

Everytime when I send files via Skype, my computer becomes too slow.. Too slow, that I can't listening to music - the song plays very, very slow. First I though that the problem is in Skype, so i uninstall it and install new version, but same s*** ;( I can do nothing while send file, and I'm with 4 GB RAM (because use win xp, it recognize it as 3 GB, but that won't be problem - it's enought memory to listen a song)

Hi! I have a problem with my windows. Everytime when I log on (when switch user, log on to another, or simply when start win, just after the 'welcome' scream displays), my monitor turns off for 2-3 seconds and then turn on ... someone have any suggestions because of what is this problem shows everytime? I made some changes in msconfig - in Services, in StartUp, but when i turn them back, the problem is still showing everytime when log on ...

hm.. first i didn't have this problem, maybe 2 days after installing windows xp with sp 3
edit: about resolution - both 2 users use same resolution and display settings
