  1. I did not figure out the problem, but I found a source i386 folder that my predecessor stashed in the dark reaches of this terabyte drive and everything works. It is an Sp2 source, too. I found that interesting. But thank everyone for their help.
  2. It's a Dell Sp2 source disk with a few OEM programs on it. But the files that come up missing are cards.dll (solitaire) and about 30 or 40 other dlls and program files. If I slip stream everything else except the SP3 it works fine. Hotfixes, OK. KBXXX updates, OK. It is purely the SP3 update
  3. I have an SP2 source disk I am using to create a restage disk because I do not have any other versions of XP. Is there a way to use this file to create an SP3 slipstream? I have tried using the SP2 source and slipstreaming SP3 with the "remove previous hotfixes and service packs" option and it still doesn't work. I also tried not removing previous service packs and hotfixes and that does not work either. I keep coming up with missing files when windows is loading files right after the NTFS format to install.
  4. I found out what I did wrong. When applying a service pack, it asks if you would like to remove hotfixes, and apparently when you do that, it removes all of the files I was missing. If I make sure not to remove those hotfixes, the thing works fine. Problem solved.
  5. I have an unattended install of XP Pro that has been working wonderfully. I slipstreamed firefox, thunderbird, and drivers from driverpacks BASE. This is all working at SP2. The second I slipstream SP3, when unpacking files right after creating the NTFS file system, a bunch of DLLs are missing, starting with CARDS.DLL and including about 30 more. Has anyone run into this problem, or is there some kind of patch for it?
