  1. A Win98 startup floppy disk is a good source for the boot files or www.bootdisk.com to get one.

Read the setupxp.htm in the root of the XP install cd for instructions on how to run setup from the command prompt. I would add the command i386\winnt.exe to the end of the autoexec.bat file.

  2. Are you using a download manager? I have found that my download manager does not work on the nLite site and I must disable it and use the standard windows download manager. I have not noticed this problem with any other site. I only disable my download manager when on the nLite site.

    Good luck.

I have GetRight, but always had to use 'save link as' to bypass it. I have been able to download nlite prior to this release being posted.

IE6 & FF2 via all available methods: either reloads the page or the exe downloaded is html file like above. The following didn't change a thing: clearing caches, disabling GetRight and FlashGot.

Someone said to check my PM's. If they mean the inbox on this site, it's always been empty.

  3. Just keep trying.. Theres a lot of people downloading right now, soit is overloaded, but eventually you will get thru.

Still won't download. Just goes right back the the download page or I just get an error file downloaded instead of the exe.

  4. :thumbup How do Integrate multiple device drivers in NLITE? John

Place all drivers directories under one directory and when inserting use 'multiple driver folder', select the directory you put them all under. It'll then prompt you to select the drivers you need.

  5. I for one don't plan on migrating to Vista. If I'll see myself forced to install it, it will be on a virtual machine under Linux.

The Vista license forbids any installation in virtual hardware or emulators. You can with Ultimate, but then you can't use any software that uses DRM.

Also, you can only upgrade your pc once, then you have to buy another copy of Vista.

    Vista license:

  6. not sure if i am right or not, but selling a program like xpcreate or nlite would be against the law.

I am not a lawyer. Those programs should be legal to sell, just like any other program a person can create. The only part Microsoft owns is the OS and the updates.

Selling a xpcreate version of XP would be illegal unless you get a license from Microsoft (for XP) and Greenmachine (for his program) to do so.

  7. I get the same error on swflash.cab and I downloaded xpcreate about an hour ago.

    From the xcpreate.log file:

    first entry:

    ADD SVC-SWF\swflash.cab http://active.macromedia.com/flash2/cabs/swflash.cab e017f066be11e9e8357bb9fd2313c3cc

    second entry:

    -- 18:47:34 -- Downloading: SVC-SWF\swflash.cab

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    -- 18:47:38 -- MD5 Error. Got [1EF07BC1AE13EA565A25A3732FD4A694], expected [e017f066be11e9e8357bb9fd2313c3cc].

I downloaded from the url, and put it in svc-swf directory and it still tries to get it.

Running md5 on swflash.cab that I downloaded gets the same 1EF... number.

[EDIT] It works fine now. thanks.
