Thanks for the reply. I did try that though. But I can now say yea! Because I used a program from this web sight. I don't remembor the name at this time and right now I am on another computer other than the one I installed the solution (program) on so I cant read the program name icon. I will post it though. It worked great! I used another computer that could read the original store bought os system disk and copied them to my thumb drive. I ran this un-known program and it asked me for my source os system so of course I directed it towards the thumb drive. This program reconized the os and displayed all the details about it. Than after that it built an iso. file. I used Nero 9 to burn this to a dvd, turned my compute off and back on again. The computer booted on this newly created disc and loaded xp pro 64 just like this disc was my original. Now why didn't my original do that. I realy don't care. Thanks to the software creator, again I will get the name and post this very helpful program.
