Hi not been on for a while i finally decided to buy a full copy of windows xp pro about 2 months ago and installed that put the disc away safe but not the rest of the stuff along with my serial number and my 3 year old has hidden it for me!!!....I'm a dozy git i am now I've looked all over the net for the answer (how do i find my o/s serial number of my current copy so i can start to make a new unattend winxp) I want to use my number that i got with my disc not a fake one any body know the answer

tried this last night with the /SILENT switch all the screen shots came up with user promts tried with /s and installed ok also I exported my SETDUN.reg from [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Motive]and this part was missing on mine is this nornal with anyone elsedevil270975[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Motive\Telco\btbb\0\Browser]

as when i installed it I had no username and password do you know where this bit of info is installed? as it makes a password for you when you first install using the disc

I've just done a search again and only 2 pages for BT BROADBAND? must have hab me eyes painted on that day? SORRY!! if any one else is looking for this help us the link 2 posts up?

Cheers mate sometime when you type something in this site because it's a datadriven with a mysql backend the mysql just find words and not exact subjects and it throws about 200 pages most of which are just passing ref to a subject as i have found on a few times doing searches on this site but i did do a search for it and came up with only passing ref: didn't find the page you found me most thankful for that if it was possiable this site could be flushed but that would take time.......

Hi I've got all my apps installed now the only thing i need to know is ObjectDock
How do I put it into the startup so when I've done the unattend the object dock opens straight away with all my shortcuts in it
I've got all my apps short cuts already installed by means of
C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$Progs\Stardock\ObjectDock then copied AppImages, CurrentTheme, Background and Settings config files. this copys all my setup for objectdock but in object dock you have an option for it to open when windows starts how do i do this part? also when you install objectdock does anybody know the switch to stop the progam window opening when it has finished installing?

any one on bt broadband if so how did you install your ADSL MODEM and transfer your details so you can connect so as installation is done?

there probable about 100 posting of this type how do you stop your information flashing up at the T10 stage of unattended installation and also is there a way of not showing the program installations i've got them all installing sillently all echoing out install program name is there another way round this so it shows a splash screen or something?

Hi can someone answer my question?
When doing a unattend cd i'm installing MSN Messenger 6.2
is there away to remove the tick in startup for the MsnMSgr or flushing the
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Run so it doesn't display
I've tried loads of differnet ways to supress it and search all over this forum for the answer and if you can will it apply to all apps that like to place them self in startup after they have been installed..

the InstallShield engine (ikernel) must remove files in temp that were used to install your app. ikernel isn't quiting fast enough and file remnants are in your temp folder. This is an Installshield v6 issue.
1st try to install the ikernel update as the very first item in your unattended
if that doesn't work write a few more batch lines to delete everything in temp and kill ikernel.
If the version differs, all IS engine updates for end users can be found here.
Also know that MS hotfix q329623 fixes issues relating to your problem caused by hotfix Q328310.

Hi By the time i've got my unattented CD done I'l be a administrator LOL...
I'm trying to install homesite 5.5 first thing if i use the set up file as is for home site5.5 that macromedia give you no switches work to install it silently then if you exract homesite5.5 it start to install silently...
this is my code?

Make Sure that you have appropriate privileges to copyfiles to this folder.(0x20)
if any body knows the answer to this please let me know I think the problem has something to do with BRADBURY topstyle 3 which is built in homesite to install after
homesite has? I may be wrong.

MSN Messenger 6.2 this is whot i'm trying to install on a unattend it when the unattend as finished that the MSN puts it self in the startup along with winamp agent I've look in the msconfig file gone to the regedit copied the part that holds the info \Run into my reg file deleted the lines telling the two progs to start when windows starts executed this after all apps are installed and it still doesn't work tried your methods aswell still stuck????

Hi this as probably been posted 5000 times before
but i keep doing a search for it and everything i've looked at has no referance to it so if any body knows a link on how to stop MSN runing when windows starts up after unattened installation please post it here..
PS save time aswell if any body has managed to install smartFTP and works can you send me a pm explaining how you did it I've tried full setup and using the setup files from the program files and it can't fine one of the cab files on full setup it willnot install silently? I've done search for this and looked at all the posting and tried what every one has said and still no luck??

Cracked it all except home site? do iss file like the rest and it throws a error message near end think it might be something to do BradBury software...

where do i get the icons from? if you go into photoshop the icon inthat file is 15 meg and if you do a copy and paste it creates a short cut?
