I used the command "netstat -a -b" to list all listening ports and the executable that is doing the listening. Seems some ISPs configure their modem/router as such, and it was likely the router that responded and most likely fine, so I'm not too concerned after speaking to my provider. Thank you very much for all your help and concern. PS. shields up was how I checked for ping replies.

I recently ran a couple firewall tests, shields up and auditmypc etc. They're both coming up with a port that's open. I think they called it Tram. It says this port is commonly used for trojans. But my biggest concern is that it is open and I would like to shut it. I have searched my firewall completely for port control options and cannot find the solution anywhere. It also said that my computer responded to Ping (ICMP Echo) Requests. Buy my firewall says that this is blocked, so I do not know how it is still responding. If anyone has had any similar experiences with these firewall test sites, because I don't know if it is my computer or the sites themselves. Please feel free to envelope me in the answer to my frustration.

First of all, I'd like to say this is a very nice forum. Thank you to the owner and staff. I sure hope we can be a helpful and productive member. That being said. Here's my problem. Something is erasing my prefetch files. I need to know how to find out what is doing this. Is there any way to find the source of this deletion? I've searched the internet, my computer and can't seem to find the answer. Someone help me!!!!!! Thanks in advance. boltsinkinc
