  1. Ok so i just picked up one of these nice little Asus machines, but the localization is in Hebrew. I have XP on disc with SP3, with it's own serial number, and installed it on the laptop instead of the previous windows installation. I also have the serial number for the original installation on the sticker under the laptop. With the format, all the preloaded drivers were deleted. That isnt a problem, as Asus have kindly loaded their website with .zip files containing setup packages for all the drivers. Once downloaded and unzipped, I ran the setup files one by one and installed sound, wireless etc.. The real problem with this laptop is that it's got a Solid State Disk that's advertised as 12Gb, but actualls it's flash memory that's separated into 4Gb + 8Gb. I have installed Chrome, AVG scanner, and winrar, and from 3.74Gb total space on the C: I have 1.28Gb free space left I understand this nlite software can help me to make my installation smaller by removing unwanted window's components. What I don't really understand is, can that be done from my current installation? (Which after I installed the English XP Pro, there wasn't a i386 folder in C:) Or can it only be done from the installation medium? I copied the contents of the XP SP3 Disc to a USB pendrive, and figured I can use that. But i'm also not really understanding how to add the drivers to the unattended install. I'm sure it won't recognize them compressed inside a zip file, will it? Or do I need to go through each unextracted folder one by one and add the .ini files to the list? What about service packs? If this version of windows already has SP3, so I don't need to add any SP files, and probably most of the hotfixes (except the ones only just released since then) Really not following this. Perhaps it's because it's 5 am Can someone help me out a bit? By the way, i've been looking at this link http://www.eeeguides.com/2007/12/this-tuto...ow-to-slim.html but I'm still not understanding where to insert the hotfixes from, (the ones already on the CD which are included in SP3? or the Hard disk or web, or what)
