  1. As title, the DNS Client service is missing in the services.msc on Vista, i need a clue how can i add it back into the services list. That service is crucial for me to run certain apps. EDIT: I tried copy the 'dnscache' registry from other computer, it finnally listed on the Service.msc but the info were mismatch.
  2. Laptop BIOS died, so i guess test failed and i lost a 1 year old nice laptop. The laptop mobo has serious design flaws.
  3. Sorry didn't know about this. I thought it was tended for public release. Appearently is not.
  4. MSDN Vista SP1 that contain 5 version of Vista x86 for only 2.8GB.. And x64 5 versions only 3.7GB http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-au/subscripti...aspx?pm=pid:146 Look for "Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 (x64) - DVD (English)" on the botton. That is the legit one and officially intergrated SP1 done by Microsoft. I guess is worth it to join MSDN for the quality stuffs then. - Revised -
  5. Thanks! I noticed that while building another vLite Vista Ultimate at the moment. But is only 1.70MB how much compability its gonna give i wonder, at first i just thought those are the Links showing on the Start Menu lead to the Extra download that's all, but i'm going to try now and see if everything works perfectly. I'll post result in an hour or 2. Abit more to adjust then will start compiling. And will have to look around see if i know something can remove on WinSxS folder.

  7. I have MSDN Vista SP1 ISO, and i used to have Vista Ultimate full, it takes alot space so i decided to vLite it. But then after Windows Update installed DreamScape successfully it doesn't shows up on the Desktop Background even i have Aero mode turned on and the Desktop Windows Session Service. I wonder what i else missed? Anyone know the required component i might accidentally removed?
