  1. Did you search for viruses/spywares/hijackers ? If not try with adware or spybot search and destroy.
  2. I'm trying to creat an AIO cd with windows xp sp2, windows pe and a small linus live distro (DSL,based on knoppix) with easyboot. All is working except linux. 1 ) I've copied all the folders from the original distro iso to easybot disk1 dir (two folder, KNOPPIX and lost+found) 2) I've extracted the boot image from the DSL Iso distro and put it the disk1/ezboot folder as dsl.bif. The command i use to launch it is "bootinfotable;run dsl.bif" When I launch the distro it stops after few seconds without probing the hardware and loading the graphic interface. Just a minimal set of commands is loaded; it seems that the boot files doesn't see the KNOPPIX folder... Any hint ?!? Thanks guys!
  3. Here more infos: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=884130 Sorry if it has been reported yet. firstcircle
  4. Sorry gpalmer54, I completely forgot the first part of your message. Some viruses close antivirus tools but I think that they check the task name not the file one..Hum...Very strange..
  5. Better if you don't delete that file..Give a look here: http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintas...brary/userinit/ Anyway, there's no need to boot your pc from a floppy. IMHO you should first update all your antivirus / spyware cleaner then disable system restore. Boot your machine in safe mode and perform a deep scan with both the categories of tools. This should help you in removing maliciuos files. If you still have problem consider that it could be an issue of your OS (damaged files or misconfigured files). In this case you'd better format.
  6. @ yazanaswad & Bâshrat the Sneaky check this : http://www.divxland.org/mode2cd.htm or http://xcd.sourceforge.net/ It tells it works only for audio/video streams but the gui I'm using let me burn every kind of files. I've never test it but you can try with a re-writable cd. There's only a problem: this mode needs some drivers to work and I'm not sure you can use it with a clean install.. It should work if you install your new O.S. on an O.S. that has the drivers to read CD-XA.
  7. You can burn your cd as a mode 2 (need particular drivers) and eliminate some check codes gaining 100 MB.
  8. Remember to disable System Restore if you have windows xp before rebooting in safe mode and cleaning your machine
  9. Thanks for your help guys. I'll try your suggestions in the next days!
  10. Hi guys, do you know if there's the possibility of playing a song (using a command line wav player) during the applications installation (I'm using RunOnceEx) with winxp ? Are the sound drivers already loaded in that phase of installation ? Thanks !
