  1. Really interesting but to be honest maybe I'm the only one that wasn't able to use Bo Branten system above described, once I try to mount an ISO image it prompt me with syntax error (??)...can someone please share with me his experience? I believe that if working this could be a great tool. Thanks
  2. Up...do you think it's better to use WinInstall ??
  3. I was already able to install it, the question is: any idea about a way to shrink it ? Other than this where do you suggest to search for info about this software?
  4. Well, I would like to find a "clean" way to do it without using any kind of tool that uses registry snapshot (WinInstall or Symantec AI Snapshot) ...
  5. Dear all, do you know how to create a personalized package (msi or exe or whatever) of the SAP Grahic User Interface 6.20 so that it doesn't need a great amount of space on a CD/DVD ? All that I know, since now, is that inside the SAP CD you have an utility which allows you to create a personalized package (a sort of xml dictionary that still needs the CD installation) but not to export a final msi or exe (which will be useful to save space). Any hints?
  6. Many thanks Bashrat, I will be more than happy to test your video drivers pack on IBM T4x series, btw any idea about the reason why installing the same IBM drivers using NLite (compressing into Driver.cab I guess) I didn't face the problem? Just a curiosity but it can be useful in the future...
  7. I don't know the answers and I'm eager to, what I can say now is that I just added the IBM original drivers using Nlite and finally seems that everything has been installed correctly...let's keep in touch
  8. Of course, if you wish I can also send you the full package...anyway here it is IBMAtiINF.zip
  9. I tried also your latest INF, unfortunately they doesn't work, I guess is something related to the branded ATi Mobility on my IBM, since if I force the drivers originally supplied by them trough the wizard Windows prompt me with usual warnings and then install the bloody drivers, I'm referring to the "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install" and then point using "Have Disk..." option to search on my CD. You can exclude any wrong entry on winnt.sif or in the directory structure in $1$ section, I checked them 20 times...so, that's all...there surely should be some IBM branded trick ...in fact during unattended setup I'm not prompted by Windows that is searching for drivers, it sounds like Windows find the drivers but then it's not able for some strange reason (maybe security reasons...who knows?) to install by itself the drivers...surely something in the drivers structure (dll, xml or sys part) doesn't match the windows automatic setup structure. I' m quite sure of that since each inf that you or IBM or ATi gave it to me was always correctly recognized by Windows, the problem is then after the INF part....anyone has ever installed in unattended setup ATi drivers on IBM T4x laptop series?
  10. You can extract them without installing, run the exe at the end asks your permission before installing on the pc, answer no and you will have under C:\Program Files\Radeon Omega etc all that you need
  11. No error, no click here, nothing, it simply refuse to install...and now I'm really frustrated...let's compare with omega drivers
  12. yes, it appear, to be more precise 3 entry are on my screen once I ran the wizard: RADEON Mobility 9600 version 6.14.10.6505 RADEON Mobility 9700 version 6.14.10.6505 ATI MOBILITY FIRE GL T2 version 6.14.10.6505 Obviously it tells me that the driver is not digitally signed then once I click ok, everything happen as before mentioned
  13. No, absolutely I'm not using the installer, I was referring to the "windows add driver" wizard, not to any ati installer, at this point it seems as there some odd windows protection...I repeat, it starts to install but then once the flying folder appear it suddenly stops telling me that something is wrong.
  14. I tried, unfortunately it still doesn't work, as mentioned before, the wizard find the correct hardware but at the end it stops telling me that an error occured during the installation of the device e.g. the driver selected for this devide does not support windows xp...it's a mess
  15. Here it is: PCI/VEN_1002&DEV_4E50&SUBSYS_05501014&REV_00\4&1BFA44D4&0&0008 let me know...
  16. No, it doesn't , it recognize trough your modified INF the drivers but after that the wizard stops telling that it cannot finish, maybe it depends on my particular hardware: ATi mobility radeon 9600 on a IBM T42 laptop.
  17. Bashrat, many thanks for the ATi drivers, I followed your instructions and everything went ok but it sounds like my IBM t42 doesn't like your modded drivers...I'm not able to figure out why...I'm really becoming frustrated...any other idea? P.S. I'm waiting for your full Graphics Pack... Thanks again
  18. Hi all, I was able to create a silent install of Novell CLient 4.9 sp2 and run it through Run Once method, everyting works fine but there's just a little problem: during the installation the Novell installation basic interface window appears even if I use cmdow /@ HID ...some advice? Thanks
  19. Yes, I agree, the Intel drivers provided are newer than the drivers provided with Windows (should be 6.x versus 5.x), and they are installed, but the odd thing is that sounds like they're not correctly installed for an unknown (to me) reason. Once I detach the laptop from the power cord Windows dumps immediately...that's all...I'm trying to use utilities as DriverGenius from a working machine to compare if there are difference. ...still searching for Ati Mobility drivers ...where can I download it?
  20. Hi, my fault, I missed that the Intel 82852/82855 drivers are automatically installed by Windows but they are not stable, infact once you unplug the power cord and switch to the battery the laptop (x40 IBM) dumps telling you that ialmnt5.sys has caused Windows to stop. If I then try to reinstall the drivers manually (using the same files!!) everything works fine. I'm not able to figure out the reason... What do you think about this behaviour? Northy
  21. Hi all, I' m facing serious problems (as other people here) in integrating ATI mobility drivers (Radeon 9200, 9600 for IBM t40 and t42 laptops) and Intel Mobility Drivers (Intel 82852 /82855 drivers dor IBM X40). Simply it doesn't work using winnt.sif method. Could please someone explain me what I have to do to integrate those drivers, I tried a couple of things but simply it seems that Windows Setup doesn't like my drivers during unattended setup...any que? Someone has faced the same problem? Thanks Northy
  22. Hi all, This is my very first post here soI apologize for my silly questions: l applied the BTS Graphic Drivers Pack which obviously works fine but I' m facing serious problems (as other people here) in integrating ATI mobility drivers (Radeon 9200, 9600 for IBM t40 and t42 laptops) and Intel Mobility Drivers (Intel 82852 /82855 drivers dor IBM X40). Simply it doesn't work, and I guess that this behaviour is due to the fact that those kind of drivers are slightly different than the drivers BTS has supplied (it'a BETA2), so I' m waiting for BETA3 from Bashrat but, in the meantime could please someone explain me what I have to do to integrate (using winnt.sif method) those drivers, I tried a couple of things but simply it seems that Windows Setup doesn't like my drivers...any que? Someone has faced the same problem? Thanks Northy
