  1. Hi Fernando,

i went back to the shop where i buy the CD, and bring my computer with me, the guy try to install it too, doesn' t work, i try to explain about your driver, but he used some other find on a chinese website, anyway still the same problem, I thought he will make me go away or give me another cd because he looks really upset, but finally he changed something in the bios, and it works perfectly fine, after the installation he puts back the stuff in the bios again, and still now, xp x64 is running really fine.

I didn't understand what was the problem and it s a shame, i am not good enough to see what he changed or understand it, but it works fine.

He told me what was the problem but as my chinese is really bad... sorry, I will try to go back with one of my chinese friend, because i really want to understand, for the next time. :(

Anyway, I would like again to thanks you for your time and help, I m sure it is hard for you as you don' t have the computer in your hands.

I will try to install the performance driver on your page, but later!

    Thank you very much!

    Have a good night.

  2. You don't remember the exact message? How far did Windows Setup come (before/after the hdd detection)?

As an abstract of our discussion I really doubt, that you will solve your problem by your own and I cannot look into your computer. Ask any computer expert of your neighborhood for a hardware and BIOS settings analysis.

By the way: Your problem is very, very off topic...

    Good night!

    Fernando

    Hi, thanks for the help!

I don't remember the exact message, but i could try to install again, anyway i remember it was before hdd detection. Same time as the other one error.

Yes i doubt it too... so sad... i will try to find a place here to do that... but as my chinese is really bad it will be hard.

And sorry, I didn't know it was off topic as it is the integration of Raid and sata drivers in the installation of xp, also if my hardware seems a little abnormal hahaha!... maybe i should make a new thread... but not sure it will help....

Anyway, thanks for your time and your help. I will post a new thread if i find a solution, maybe it can help other people!

    Good night!

  3. Seems complicated and like I have 2 DVD Writer but I have only one....
I have no idea, if your DVD burner named "Optiarc DVD RW AD-7530A" is S-ATA or IDE connected.

All these things doesn't really help.

What we have to know is the following:

    1. Are you really running RAID or are your RAID Controllers just enabled within the BIOS without any function?

    2. Why does Windows Setup the message §The file NVRDX.SYS is corrupted?

Have you tried to boot just off the clean XP x64 CD without lntegrating anything? If yes, does Windows Setup detect your hard disks?

Yes I tried this first as i didn't know about the Sata driver. It says some problems with Atapi.

I never get any problems with the installation of Vista, formated my computer lot of times without any drivers. And all was fine.

    For the 1 question, I don't know.

    Sorry.

It seems, this computer is not normal! :blushing:

EDIT: if my DVD\CD drive seems to be a possible problem, maye i can try to unplug my internal drive and install by a external drive ? Can it work by USB external drive?

  5. That shows, that you have an nForce4 AMD chipset mainboard, but with different nForce S-ATA Controllers:

Your first listed nForce S-ATA Controller is managing the S-ATA device in SATA 1 mode, whereas the second one does it in SATA 2 mode.

Do you have a S-ATA connected CD/DVD burner?

I really don't know, it is a laptop with the CD\DVD burner integrated.

Sorry I am really noob in computer.... :blushing:

  6. Hi Fernando,

thanks a lot for all your help.

I will try tomorrow from one computer of my office to make the bootable cd. And if it still doesn't work go back to the shop and ask for another one.

Here is the Hardware ID's :

    - NVIDIA nForce RAID Controller :

    ACPI\_NVRAIDBUS

    *_NVRAIDBUS

    - NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller :

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0054&SUBSYS_05911558&REV_F3

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0054&SUBSYS_05911558

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0054&CC_010485

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0054&CC_0104

    - NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller :

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0055&SUBSYS_05911558&REV_F3

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0055&SUBSYS_05911558

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0055&CC_010485

    PCI\VEN_10E&DEV_0055&CC_0104

Just find in the device manager a problem I didn't have before, seems to have a problem with the Mass Storage Controller in "Other devices", never see that before...:S Is it possible it makes the problem for the installation of XP?

Thanks again for all your time and help Fernando.

    Simon

  7. Installed Infrarecoder as Nero doesn't seems to work on Vista 64...:S

But burned the cd on 8x ( less i can't.. actually i chooce 4x, but it burned at 8x).

    Still same error.

I have a question, maybe stupid, but do i have to add the driver by single mode or folder mode? Is it the same? And is it possible that is because I burn it by vista 64?

I have only 1 blank cd left, so i don't know what to do, maybe go tomorrow to buy a floppy drive. Is it maybe a better solution. And use the original cd of XP for installation.

    Let me know.

    Thanks.

  8. HI Fernando,

yes it is a 64bits OS, as there is the amd64 folder, and it should be a original xp x64 disk, as I bought it in a shop there is box, manual key and everything, and that what is write on it. But as I am living in China, i can't be sure if it is a reel one. Hard to find the difference here.

Looks reel to me. For the disk I use imation disk and don't have other choice to burn it at 24x.

Maybe find a floppy drive and it will work better?

  9. Hi,

I already did it and get problem, actually i have no other choice beacause nlite put it in PnP for the Sataide driver( I use single driver, do i have to choose folder drivers?). Btw, they propose me 2 driver when i try to put the sataraid driver, i can of course choice between txt or Pnp mode but there is option integration :

    NVIDIA nForce Storage Controller (required)

    NVIDIA RAID CLASS DRIVER (required).

I choose both, as it is write required.

And this i put as Textmode.

I did that and still have the same problem.

    I don't understand why.

It is the last driver i just download from Nvidia Website for Nforce 4.

    :(

  10. Hello Fernando,

seems your are the best in this kind of problem, and see lot of your post in lot of forum, but i still not find a solution to my problem.

Or maybe I am a little noob!

Ok so here it is :

I'm on a HyperSonic Aviator X20 with a Nvidia Nforce 4 motherboard, running on Vista Ultimate 64. I wanted to go back to xp x64, but as i have no floppy, I used the nlite version on a new Xp x64 + SP2 cd.

I try to add the latest driver in the nvidia website, the one in your thread, all i can find on internet and other forum, mix them all on 1 disc... after 16 burned cd, still the same problem.

    "nvrdx64.sys is corrupted"....

I start to become crazy, did I do something wrong?

    BTW xp32 work fine.

If you can help me on this, I will really appreciate.

    Thanks in advance.

    Simon.
