  1. That does sound like a cool project. Maybe call it something like AppIn or AppInSo? >> maybe I could make it so you can pick between either one of them. That would be nice too. If this kept track of what was added, with the ability to either remove what was added “from source” or enable ‘disable that item’s installation, then that would be even nicer. A side note about the whole bad mood thing: Maybe you’ve got some of those US satellites pulsing microwaves into your home. USAF is launching one of those about every 30 days now. They pass as pulsed microwaves used for harmless surveillance, but this stuff is anything but harmless. They are doing to people what the US Navy is doing to the whales – beached with bleeding ears. I can now hear and feel these higher frequencies – a person develops a sensitivity to harmful things after enough exposure. And I've seen some very strange animal behavior near my home on at least 8 different occasions. One thing for sure – and my point – is that these pulsed microwaves can be tweaked to do many things, especially insidious of is mood control & sleep loss. As I can NOW hear this and can tell when they are cranking it up, I can also personally attest to how aggressive & unsettled I feel while being exposed to certain frequencies. And there are other frequencies that do other things. I heard and felt a very strong pulse the other day that set off my neighbor’s car alarm. And they have set off my smoke alarms before too. Still amazes me that they can b***h about what the FBI is doing with the phone companies, but completely ignore this blatant absolute power conducted by any one of the US’s 15+ security agencies (or their private contractors). As real as rain.
  2. Anyone know if the tweaks edited into the hive files are still susceptible to being overwritten by later steps of a standard install?Or are these hive files the settings that are used by these later steps of a standard install? IOW, can editing hive files omit the need to do first logon imports via [GuiRunOnce]? Thanks
  3. Doing nothing (apparently) when you need it to do something is just about as bad as doing unknown stuff all on its own. With SATA, I'm guessing a pretty modern system; but just to cover the bases: CPU? RAM?
  4. Yes, definitely. Thanks for the tip (word of caution part 2). That bazaar quirk would be a real head scratcher (what now??).Good reason to try to fit a boot menu & a PE on the install disk (my next goal) for easier partition management. Thanks for your help
  5. Yes autopartition = 1 can be destructive and why I wanted to get a handle on how to best control choice of target partition. Are you saying that "non-partitioned empty space" at the start of a disc will become the new system partition that will, eventually, contain the boot files?
  6. Thanks TranceEnergy. So is Autopartition = 1 when it just auto formats (& installs) on the first partition big enough? Anyone know of any other settings that might limit choice of target partition? Thanks
  7. Is there a way to have UnattendedInstall = "Yes" But still have full choice of any partition as target partition (empty or not)? IOW: Have everything after target partition choice be UA? Best combination of settings? Thanks Example answer file…. \I386\WINNT.SIF [Data] Autopartition = 0 MsDosInitiated = 0 UnattendedInstall = "Yes" [unattended] OemPreinstall=Yes OemSkipEula=Yes OEMFilesPath=.\$OEM$ [GuiUnattended] OEMSkipWelcome=1
