Hi, I want to make an unattended cd that first boots into dos, and runs a small program (mainly diskpart in order to choose and build partitions) and then boots the normal windows installation. Does anyone know how this might be done? Or what file I can call from a dos prompt to begin to install the unattended script? Thanks for your help!

That seems to have helped (it looks like there is one more hotfix installed now) but I still can't get the whole thing to go. Should I just have them install from the cmd line stuff I have running on first login? There has to be something I'm missing... I mean this is possible in Win 2k3 right?

Hey all, I was wondering if there is a trick, or certian way to get the hotfixes to install in 2k3 Server? I set it up just like it said in the XP unattended tutorial ( I know it's not XP... when I did it with XPSP1 it worked great, and almost all of the settings seem to be the same for 2k3) but for some reason it does not work... It just won't install the hotfixes. Is there a trick for 2k3? An extra setting or something that I may have missed? Thanks for your help! Fion

I am setting up an unattended XP install, and I have a quick question for you guys. I have looked through the site and found anwers that almost answer my questions, but nothin so far that really is exactly what I am looking for. So I figured I would ask here.... sorry if I repeat something that has already been beaten to death... first thing: I want to automate the partitioning like this... first, clean everything (erase all partitions) then create a partition of 5GB for my install. I haven't seen any posts about how to specify the size of the paritition that I want... I can do it in the normal installation, so I figure I should be able to do it automatically, as I always want a 5 GB partition. Second thing: I see alot of Reg tweaks to disable stuff, but how do I enable stuff? For example, I want to enable Remote Desktop. I also want to delete Messanger from the install, what is the best way to do that? Thanks for your help guys! Fion
