Okay, I tried that, it was on manual but when i changed it to automatic there was no change. I also tried to press the start button under 'service status: stopped' and it gave me this error: Could not start the fast user switching combatibility service on local computer Error 1068: The dependancy service or group failed to start I went onto dependancys and apparently it relies on 'terminal services>remote procedure call' whatever that is.

Hello, I have a problem with my fast user switching. This feature stopped worked ages ago on my PC (I think it was after I last formatted it) and I never bothed to turn it on again. Now I need to start using it, so I went into Control Pannel>User Accounts>Change the way users log on or off and then selected enable fast user switching. When I click apply options it seems to go through okay (no error message) but it hasn't actally enabled it. When I try to switch users (on the start menu) nothing happens when I click it and when I go back into change the way users log on or off the box isn't ticked. I'm slightly confused so any help would be appreciated
