I've just downgraded my HP Pavilion dv6700 notebook from Vista Ultimate to XP Pro SP3. Following guidance found on the HP forums, I downloaded and installed all applicable drivers for my notebook. My NIC is a RealTek RL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC, and after the driver was installed, I noticed that there's a Realtek "Program" listed on the Start Menu, shown below. Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand why this is on the Start Menu and I want to get rid of it. Can I just right-click on it and delete it from the Start Menu without doing any damage to the NIC's installed driver? If not, what is the best way to get rid of it? Also, if anybody can, please tell me why it is on the Start Menu at all. I just don't get why it is there, although I know that I installed it using the unzipped Setup.exe file I downloaded from RealTek. All but one of the other drivers were downloaded from HP's website and were SoftPaq.exe files. Thanks in advance. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
