  1. When going through the intermediate unattended tutorial in http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/1/ it talks about adding commands to succesfully install the application, for instance when i go to the application database and if i choose adobe reader 8 it says to add the following;

    ECHO.

    ECHO Installing Adobe Reader 8

    ECHO Please wait...

    start /wait %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Install\AdbeRdr80_en_US.exe /sAll

    ECHO.Done

    My question is to where do i add these commands to and where do i put the applications [.exe] files in my XPCD folder? also what else do i need to do in any of the CD contents before proceeding with the unattended installation. Thank you in advance.

  2. Thank you for your response. I did installed WMP11 Slipstreamer and set up the source to where the wmp11 installer is in, and also the output to c:\XPCD also selected the wmp11 hotfixes, it says that it was done succesfully and also while running nLite i choose to integrate the IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe among these hotifxes;

    IE7-WindowsXP-KB950759-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB941569-x86-ENU.EXE

    WindowsXP-KB951748-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB951698-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB937894-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB918118-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB951376-v2-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-kb890830v-2.0

    WindowsXP-KB950762-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB942763-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB950760-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsXP-KB898461-x86-ENU.exe

    WindowsMedia11-KB936782-x86-ENU

    During the hotfix integration i get the following errors;

    KB918118 failed integrating

    KB937894 failed integrating

    KB950760 failed integrating

    kb890830v-2.0 not a hotfix

    KB893803-v2-x86 is not expected type of hotfix

    WindowsMedia11-KB936782-x86-ENU is not expected type of hotfix

    I have also tried integrating only the hofixes where i don't get an error message but when i try my ISO in either VM07 or VMware i get this error message and it keeps restarting.

    lsass.exe - Not Enough Quota

    Not enough virtual memory or paging file quota is available to complete the speficied operation.

    I also want to mention that my ISO file works only when i slipstream SP3 as unattended, but adding the hotfixes it doesnt. I have also gone to the page you pointed out but i do not understand which file i have to modify when it says to add the command lines, it talks about a batch file, but where do i find that file? please advise.

  3. When i slipstream SP3 into the output folder [XPCD] using nlite and when integrating hotfixes or updates, output folder [XPCD] does not create any of the OEM folders, the only one i see is $$OEM$$ with a cmdlines.txt file there. Can anybody explain me if i am doing something wrong, because i tried creating an ISO with hotfixes adding wmp11 and ie7 but it didnt install it once i was into windows, the only thing that got installed was SP3. Also where do i add the bath files to, if i want to also install applications like spybot, ccleaner etc.. Thank you in advance.

  4. I am using nLite v. 1.4.7, and these are the steps i've followed, i've read forums here and there but just cant seem to make it work.

    i choose the location on my D drive [XPpro w/ SP2]. This copies the contents on my winXPpro w/ SP2 CD to a local folder i created, I named the folder Nlites, i then follow the instructions and and choose to integrate [slipstream] SP3, which i have downloaded and saved in my root folder C:\

    I just want to create the ISO with XP pro slipstreamed to SP3, with no hotfixes nor applications and unattended, but regardles of what i attempt when i try my .ISO file at the end using virtual machine the machine keeps restarting i get a message but i cannot read what it says because it just keeps restarting. Can anybody show me what steps to follow exactly, i am almost giving up!! :angry:
