  1. Hi, Well they are all brand new, so they should all be the same. However, one of the BIOS Docking options that was enabled, was to prevent the OS from creating new profiles, so I switched this option off, deleted all the profiles except for the original undocked one and allowed XP to create a new docked one. This appears to have done the trick, on boot up, when docked, it went straight into Windows without waiting for me to select a profile - GREAT - SUPER. I will now re-enable the BIOS option and finish setting up the laptops. Many thanks for the suggestion. Regards, Dave.
  2. Hi All, This is driving me crazy, I've got 1/2 dozen new Dell laptops that I am setting up the hardware profiles on, 1 = Undocked & Encrypted Comms – At Home 2 = Undocked & Unencrypted Comms – At Work 3 = Docked & Unencrypted Comms – At Work The first laptop I did works perfectly, when not docked I get a list of all the hardware profiles I have setup and when the laptop is docked it automatically loads the one docked profile without offering me the list - great – fantastic - perfect. However, the next two laptops I've setup won't auto load the docked profile when docked, they just wait for me to select it from the list. I am forced, by company policy, to make the first profile the undocked and encrypted one, so I can't just leave it to load after the 30 seconds either. I've searched and searched but can't find anything on auto loading hardware profiles, had I not actually seen the first laptop work, I would have said it was not possible ! I tried deselecting the profile from the "Always include this profile" list, but still no joy. Any help gratefully received.
