  1. My first two attempts at slipstreaming were on Vista and it resulted in the installation not accepting CD Keys so I switched to doing it on a XP installation. I think I read somewhere on the forum that if you're going to do it through vista, which you say you have no choice, then you'll have to slipstream Sp2 first or something like that. Anyway, just do a search for it if the problem comes up.
  2. Hi guys, I'm a complete newbie at nlite and slipstreaming. I tried using forum search to find a solution to my problem, but I didn't come up with any results. Anyway, as the topic title says, my computer freezes after I install WinXP. This happens on the Windows loading screen with the black background, right after installation finishes. I have to reboot the computer by cutting the power in order for it to load Windows. The first time this happened, I used a school downloaded copy of WinXP Sp2 slipstreamed with Sp3 and all the hotfixes listed in the Post SP3 security updates thread. The second time it happened was when I used the Sp2 disc included with the laptop slipstreamed with the same Sp and hotfixes, but also some drivers and other options. The one thing both copies have in common is the integration of Sp3 and the hotfixes. I'm going to see if the service pack or one of these hofixes is the problem when I have time next to try this all out, but it'll take a long time so it would be great if someone could let me know what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for your time.
