So i got a new HP Pavilion dv6871 notebook, and was extremely dismayed that it had Vista on it. I was even less happy when i figured out when Windows XP couldnt discovered my hard drive. The BIOS is useless as its restricted to simple diagnostic fuctionality. Now ive been trying to slipstream drivers for my SATA hard drive in with the windows XP installation and service pack 3 using Nlite. But when i have followed many sets of instructions, the TXTSETUP file keeps showing as corrupt and wont load the installation. Im starting to go insane hunched over my computer for hours on end trying to find a problem with it, but as you know its a gigantic file...so yeah
if anyone could help me with this i would greatly appreciate it
