Right now, I am trying to install the updates in smaller groups instead of all at once. That seems to be working just fine finally. In previous reformats or new PC set ups, I have always done the updates last. But on the next round, i will try to do the updates first. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well, I reformatted the PC with XP SP2. Installed the drivers, MacAfee anti virus, adobe acrobat & reader, Office 2003, Java, Print to PDF program, and Quicktime. this is the standard install whenever we either set up a new PC or reformat an older one. I ran the updates (always do that one last). All the updates downloaded, then all the updates failed to install. I tried going into the Internet Options and putting Microsoft.com into the trusted sites (this was a Googled suggestion) and this didn't solve the issue. I am up for ideas.

Has anybody had this issue? I am reformatting a Dell Optiplex 270 with XP.
  6. Did that. Everything is good there.
  7. OS- XP Pro PC- Dell Optiplex 755 Office '03 I have a user that is able to send emails, but not receive them. To explain.... I tried sending from several locations throughout the facility and he received none of them at the PC. However, I sent to several locations from the PC in question. Those were received without problem. To be sure the account itself wasn't damaged, I checked the email using the web-based client and all the emails sent to him were there, so this leads me to believe it is a local machine issue. I am not sure where to go from here. Please advise.
  8. Yes. Also tried the old uninstall-reinstall trick....repeatedly. Tried upgrading to 07. These did not work. So, I totally unistalled ALL office things and did a clean Office 03 install. Everything works (still) except Outlook, which now won't even open for me to map to the server. It now throws an error that says MAPI32.DLL is corrupt. If that were the case, wouldn't the new install have solved this issue?
  9. OK, I cannot use the "Reply to all" function. When I try, it throws an error that says "Messaging interface has returned an unknown error." I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but i get this same error. Also, i am unable to print from email.
