Hi All ,
Can anyone of here introduce me how to implement ring network over 100 user network.
What devices should be use for this network?
thanks a lot
hi first of all if you have 100 users then how many machines you have for them? do you have any domain controller for their rights assigning? and what kind of your organization? can you tell me brief for better network solution....
100 machines available, we are using Microsoft Server 2003 and We are Manufacturing Company
Thus, The Distance of Computer Machine can be quite Far.
This is our Computer COmputer Mapping. Thanks for help me setup a better network :-)

Thanks for a thousand,
Around 100 Desktops PC and 2 Servers.
All Desktops PC are running under Local Area Network.
Switch can be any type of switch I able to buy any. Currently we are using D-Link ( Suitable for Star Network )

Token ring networks are ancient, why would you want to use one?
Because i would like to implement a network to prevent lost of connection.
If this network topology is ancient , can you suggest any other network topologies which are efficient and not costly.

How does Ring Token Network implement ?
in Networks and the Internet

Currently all PC(s) are connecting by cable into a switch in a group(Look Like Star Network Topology). The switch connecting each others to form a line network topology.
Hence, line network implicated the lost of connection when one of the switch is switch off or one of the switch is breakdown.
I would like to overcome this problem, so i think of Ring Token to form a loop of network. However, I faced a problem. The switch i used could not link back itself after a circle of loop ( perhaply, only can be one direction ).
Therefore, I hope any person can help me design a suitable network topology to overcome my problem.
Thanks a lot.
