  1. Hi everyone, I have a real doozey of a puzzle I am hoping someone can help me with please as I have limited experience with this. The place I am at is running Windows 2003. A user has requested a distribution list be created that no one is able to see internally or externally except for a couple of people. The user is to be set up to manage the list so she can add and remove users. However, she is wanting those changes to be reflected in the distribution list that the other couple of people can see. Also, they do not want anyone externally to be able to email to this address. The reasons behind this is that the list will include some extremely sensitive external addresses which no one can be able to see. So, from what I have found out so far I can create a DL and include the relevant people, assign her to manage the DL and then have the users who need to be able to see the DL add it to their contacts . Then I can use 'Exchange Tasks' to 'Hide Membership' of said list. However, if she now updates the list I don't believe it is going to update the list of the people who have put it in their Contacts will it? Would it work if they choose 'Update' from their Contacts? Also, because it needs to be hidden completely from the GAL will the changes be reflected to those people who have the list? Finally, would I use the option to hide from everyone externally except those who are authenticated and have emails come back to her address instead? I know this is really sticky but would love any thoughts or feedback. Kind Regards Davinci.Savant
  2. Hi all, this is my first post to these forums, so first off, hi to everyone. I am hoping someone can help a registry novice. I am working in an office environment where we would like to prevent (if possible) the "Opening Mail Attachment" dialog box from popping up when a user opens a TIFF attachment received in an email. I have checked Microsofts site with regard to security levels and this does not appear to be a level 1 extension (or level 2). We do not want the users to have to uncheck the box "Always ask before opening this type of file", but would prefer to be able to push this change out to users registries as part of their profiles. We are using Able Fax TIFF Viewer for viewing them. Does anyone have any thoughts around whether this is possible and if so, how to achieve it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Davinci.Savant
