I have a manual Vista install in a VMware virtual VM. I just want to rip out all components not appropriate to a virtual environment, plus other bits I'm not interested in, then sysprep it and create a VMware Template for future VMs to be built from. Do I need to point at a copy of my DVD, run againsta that then do a manual install again?

Can you run vlite against an already installed copy of Vista or can you only run against an install image to then install Vista from?? Cheers
