  1. My boss just received this new dell pc. Great specs. But he repeatedly has a problem with the computer starting up. When the pc turns on the screen displaying dells name and info with what i think is the BIOS loading screen... but half the time the loading bar freezes, forcing us to manually turn off the pc and boot it back up. I posted here hoping to find some sharp guys to give me advice on what the problem could be. Maybe its a software issue for the startup or perhaps a hardware issue. I did have vista display a startup repair window stating it had tried to repair what is causing the problem. I went into the detailed diagnosis and found what may be the problem. "BOOT CRITICAL FILE c:\windows\system32\drivers\volmgrx.sys" That alone leaves me to believe that it is a software problem, and hopefully something I could fix. If it is a hardware compatibility problem then the next step is to send this new pc back to dell for an overhaul. So if anyone has any suggestions or walkthrough to remedy this please let me know.
