for adobe reader download the MSI installer and not the EXE, then you can use the regular switches:
/qn = silent
/qb = passive

NDP1.1sp1-KB2416447-X86 is not a regular update and can't be integrated with snmsynth.
I have tried to process the msp with the method described in the pdf in the previous page and i have an error message in snmsynth when it tries to process it.
If someone has succeded to integrate it please share your method !

I have not nor have any users of my update pack for XP-SP3(x86) experience any issues with KB2289168.
As for x64 perhaps 5eraph can shed some more light as he deals with that OS version.

from memory in VBS use the "ws.RegWrite" command
i install this by inf at T-13 so when desktop appears at first logon quicklaunch is enabled.
below is the ini and inf i use, just apck them in a 7z/rar/cab archive and use RVMi or Nlite to integrate with your source.

I have downloaded and used both Fly-A-Kite OSX and windows 7 transformation pack4 (windowsx) and I have intergrated the windows 7 pack into my XP setup files, but i was wondering if the same was possible with Fly-A-Kite OSX??, as I could set up a .bat file that would choose between the two. If intergration isn't possible would a silent install??. I can't find out what type of setup file it is so i am stuffed
any help??

I can verify that the following files are actually getting copied over:

They are receiving the GDR update from the MSP.
So it's just a matter of manually telling WU that the hotfix is installed, right?
i think it's the same as KB951847 when we had to add a few reg keys to supress MU.
i'm actually in midst of a looooong manual install straight off of MU to see what is required.
**** only spare pc i had was a PII800, i cant remember taking hours to install.

Hi,
I have been building a testing XP Home OEM SP3 integration with an unattended install I can cannot get the install to skip asking for the product key.
I have tried using both no ProductKey entry and ProductKey= which is blank in WINNT.SIF and in both cases the SP3 unattended install always asks for a key during installation.
How do you get an unattended install to skip asking for a Product Key?
I am building on Windows XP and not Vista.

OEM keys pre SP2A do not work for a fresh SP3 install.
you can only have your OEM key working pre SP3 and then install with the stand alone SP3 installer.
tis is all if you want to use your "old" key. otherwise you would require an SP3 compatible OEM key.
this i think applies to regular oem and royalty oem keys.
VLK keys should still work for a fresh SP3 install unless blacklisted.

I slipstreamed SP3 RTM to my SP2 (German) CD and then made an nLite´d CD...
No matter if I add IE7 and/or WMP11 to the Project, after installation (without any errors) it only finds 2 Updates in Microsoft Update:
Silverlight (KB946609) and KB941569.
Anyone might have an idea why ?

KB956609 = only if you want to add silverlight
KB941569 = has to do with windows media
both have nothing to do with sp3
