Why oh why did MS think that Powerpoint wouldn't require the shiny new equation editor as featured in Word? I'm stuck with porting equations from Word as images and recolouring them to fit into my slides. Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating. If there is any way to get the new editor to work in Powerpoint, I haven't been able to find it. Any wise sages have any ideas? Or am I going to have to wait for user whining to encourage an update?

Just out of interest, does this mean that slipstreaming SP3 with a generic OEM copy - that is, not a manufacturer's OEM CD - of XP SP2 won't work either?
