the problem is i can't view the printing preferences. any ideas?

im running an old version of nlite (1.x.x) running winxp sp2.. i got the parports & spoolsv installed and running. now my printer it's an hp 722c. it installs fine but then i can't access the printer preferences? am i missing any printer related dll files? i can view the printer just fine under the control panel. problem is i just can't access the printing preferences.
