  1. This problem has been resolved. What I had to do is to right click on the Microsoft Money icon on the desktop and choose “Run as Administrator”. All the updates then were installed.
  2. Thanks for your reply. This problem has been resolved.
  3. The link you provided says that if you see on the Start button "Open All Users" rather than just "Open," the account is in the local Administrators group. “Open All Users” does appear on the start button. Still, every time I open Money a message appears saying “An update is available for your Money software. To install this update, you must be logged on as a member of the Administrators group”. What can I do to install and verify that I have this update?
  4. I had Microsoft Money 2003 on my Windoes XP computer. Recently I bought Money 2005 and installed it on my Windows Vista computer. When I tried to import the backup file from Money 2003 to Money 2005 an error message appeared saying “QDATA Backup.mbf cannot be imported. Please confirm that you have the correct file”. Why the file “QDATA Backup.mbf” cannot be imported since it’s a Money file? What can I do to import the file to Money 2005?
  5. I’ve just bought and installed Microsoft Money 2005 on my windows vista computer. When I signed in using Microsft.Net Passport I was informed that there is an update for my copy of Microsoft Money. I downloaded the update and then restarted Money. However every time I restart Money and sign in using Microsoft .Net Passport the following message appears: “An update is available for your Money software. To install this update, you must be logged on as a member of the Administrators group. Log off Windows, and then log back on as a member of the Administrators group. Restart this program to install the update” What does it mean “to log on as a member of the Administrators group”? To verify that I have the latest update for Microsoft Money 2005 online Help says that the version of Money should be 14.0.0.1105. The version installed on my computer is 14.0.120.730. Does this mean that I have the latest update?
  6. I’ve got Microsoft works version 8.5 installed in my new computer running windows vista. In my old computer running windows xp I’ve got Microsoft works version 7. I use a lot the calendar to remind me of upcoming appointments. I ‘d like to ask if it is possible to transfer all my appointments stored in Microsoft works 7 to Microsoft works 8.5 installed in my new computer? If there is no way to do this then I have to rewrite all my appointments one by one in the new version of Microsoft works.
