  1. Now I'm even more confused. When I tried my vLite/ slipstreamed (KB929777) copy of Vista Ultimate 64 with my Intel X38 chipset (Asus Maximus Formula) it installed without any problems with all 4 GB of RAM. I’m not sure if I follow you with the storage driver suggestion. I do have this setup using two hard drives in RAID 0 with the Nvidia RAID drivers integrated with vLite.
  2. I just gave vLite 1.1 “Final” a try with a new system I put together using the Asus Striker II (Nvidia 780i SLI chipset) motherboard and 4 GB of RAM (2x 2048 MB) with Vista Ultimate 64. I slipstreamed (KB929777) using vLite and the hot fix “force during installation” option. I still get the blue screen crash during installation. Taking 2 GB of RAM out of the system will allow me to complete the installation. After getting into Windows with only 2 GB installed, it did show (KB929777) in the Windows update history. I then shut down and installed the remanding 2 GB and booted back into Windows with all 4 GB of RAM without any problems. The odd thing about this issue is that just last week with an Asus Maximus Formula (Intel X38 chipset) based motherboard with the same RAM (all 4 GB installed), I had no problems installing Vista Ultimate 64 with a vLite/ (KB929777) slipstreamed disk. Is this 4 GB/Vista issue chipset specific?
