firstly thanks for replying. option is not there on the wireless connection but is there on the ethernet port. im thinking it may be because the wireless port is in use? ICS requires 2 connections, 1 in and 1 out to my understanding anyway and im maybe thinking ICS can only be enable on the port not is use? im guessing here but suppose it does make sense? would love to hear more opinions on this.

hi is this possible? 1 Netgear wireless router 1 laptop with vista 1 laptop with XP the laptop with XP is not in range of the wireless router but always very close to the other laptop with vista on it. is it possible for the xp machine to connect to the vista machine wirelessly and use that for net traffic? i have looked into ICS but it appears ICS will only enable on the ethernet port and not the wireless connection, is this correct? and is it possible to do what i need? thanks.
