ok, managed to solve the boot cd issue. Downloaded an image file called bootfiles.ima. Then I burnt a new bootable cd using nero, specifying the image file & including all files created by nLite. I am able to install OS into a test PC that I have.

Copy all files on the root of the original CD to your nLite temporary folder on the HDD, then only recreate the ISO. Actually the files are already on the nLite temp folder. There are quite a no of them, like the setup.exe, autorun, etc, etc. Somehow, these are excluded when the ISO is created.

Hi, I've spent pretty much the whole day today trying to integrate SP2 into a WinXP Pro SP1 using nLite. Yup, I've read the FAQ that it is recommended to use the original release source CD but don't think the problem I am facing is related to this. Everything went ok in nLite & I had no problem creating the ISO. I tried burning the ISO image into a bootable CD-ROM using Nero. I was able to boot using the CD but it prompts the following message "Insert the disk labelled Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 into Drive A:" shortly after the "Press F6 to install SCSI card driver" message & stuck there forever. I also tried burning a bootable CD using nLite directly. I wasn't able to boot using the CD at all. It gave the message, "Press any key to boot from CD-ROM: Missing Operating System". I examined the contents of the CD created using both methods above. It only has 2 folders and no other files on the root directory. The 2 folders are i386 and 1 other folder which I used to keep other software like MSN Live Messenger, etc. Is there anything that I've missed. I'm really lost. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. Oh ya, there is no problem with the WinXP Pro SP1 CD that I used as source as I am able to install the OS on other PCs.
