Hi there, I have a new Toshiba laptop with VistaHome Premium preinstalled and delivered with a restoration CD, but no original version of Vista on a separate DVD. Whenever I use the Toshiba restoration CD, I'm back with a brand new PC (with a fully restored system including all the crappy programs Toshiba adds to Vista...) but also with all data erased, including data saved on the non-system partition. Indeed the restoration procedure with the Toshiba CD reformat all partitions not the system partition only Hence I want to create my own Vista DVD using vLite, so if my system crash, I can reinstall Vista on the system partition without loosing the data on the other partition. But can I use vLite and create a Vista DVD without an original Vista DVD? I'm not familiar with Vista, much more so with XP (and I know that with nLite it was possible to create an XP CD without the original XP CD). any help will be welcomed Surfinette
