  1. I have had this bug for six months and looked everywhere for a solution to, but to no avail. I have a Vista Ultimate 32 system. I have rebuilt it from scratch several times, and have used three different graphics cards (though all were nvidia), I have searched far and wide for a solution. So far nothing. This problem shows up even on a freshly formatted and installed system with no added software and minimal driver installs. If I have User Account Control enabled, about 50% of the time when my system comes out of sleep, my screen and system will freeze after it is on for about 15 to 20 seconds. Sometimes I will get a UAC authorization pop-up for a driver or system tray item, and when I click the allow, it freezes. Sometimes it just freezes when coming out of sleep. There is nothing in the Event logs except a something stating that the system unexpectedly shut down. If I disable UAC my system runs fine. But since I use a lot of P2P programs, I need to use UAC, and I believe that UAC does really increase security of Vista. Any ideas of how to fix this?
  2. I want to install Vista 32 or preferable 64 on a new SSD drive that is 32 GB. I want to have Vista and all my applications (only a few gigs of apps) fit on a 32 GB disk. What size can I expect on a moderate vlite install? Is 64bit Vista much larger than 32 bit? My main system is Vista 32 that I have hand tweaked, and with all of MS's stupid indexing and temp file storage stuff switched off, it is about 36 GB, but I have tons of big programs loaded there too. Thanks!
