  1. Didn't read this one since I don't need it. But very cool...
  2. I didn't try xplode yet but I heard from it. @rvrutten If you want to install from cd/dvd you have to know the driveletter from the drive. Since not everyone has only one Partition, the Driveletter differs... Perhaps you should try xplode in this case.
  3. Yes, works fine... But it gets difficult if you want to install software directly from DVD and not from harddisk
  4. Yes, I thought of that. As you can see I have reduced Vrefresh to 60. I think less is not realistic. I did the last tests with VMWare so perhaps this is a VMWare-Issue.
  5. Hmm, if that is the reason this will be difficult. Since I included Office2003 I use DVD instead of CD. And in VMWare I install from an Image on the Harddisk. I create the Image with "CDImage".
  6. In my unattended setup I use the winnt.sif to change the resolution to 1024*768. I used this sif a few months ago and it worked, but now it won't. I've testet the unattended setup on different PC's and in VMWare. I also tried different BitsPerPel und Vrefresh but this didn't help. From the sif I start a small VB-Program to choose the software that will be installed. With the standard resolution it fills the whole screen. Does someone have any clue? Here's my winnt.sif: ;SetupMgrTag[Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" [unattended] AutoActivate= No DisableDynamicUpdate=YES DriverSigningPolicy=IGNORE DUDisable = YES OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=YES OverwriteOemFilesOnUpgrade= Yes Repartition= No TargetPath=WINDOWS UnattendMode=FullUnattended UnattendSwitch="yes" [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword=* EncryptedAdminPassword=No AutoLogon=Yes AutoLogonCount=3 OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=110 OemSkipWelcome=1 [GuiRunOnce]%systemdrive%\install\xpaisw\InstDotNet.cmd%systemdrive%\install\xpaisw\xpaisw.exe [userData] ProductID=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX FullName="mace" OrgName="mace inc." 7. It works with color-code 255,0,255 and 16 or 256 colors. Thanks a lot.
  8. I know, the code should be 255,0,255 (Magenta). Up to now I had no success. But I only tried in 24Bit (was a tip on the net).
  9. Jep, I've done that. Looks ok...
  10. I'm a N00b in customizing XP but there is something I don't believe... In the Unattended XPCD Guide there is a tip how to import customized OEM Information and Logo. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/oeminfo.htm The author says "Its a good idea to keep it transparent so it blends into the colour of the System Properties window!" I thought there is perhaps some trick to achive this, but I didn't find anything on this board or the net. So is there a trick or do I have to change the background color of the Bitmap to the light grey of the system? This wouldn't look very well when the a theme with a different color is used. greetz, m4c3
