  1. Hi, We have IBM 3950M2 servers with local disks (SAS) and a number of SAN disks (HP HBA). When we use MDT's 2008 WinPE 2.0 image to boot the server and start the Windows 2003 installation we see about 38 disks in diskpart, however the local disks (where we want to install the OS) are last in line (disk 36, 37 and 38). Since we do not have the same number of SAN disks in every server we have a problem formatting the disks with the standard format sequence in MDT 2008. The local disks should be numbered disk 0, 1 and 2 in stead of 36, 37 and 38 so we can use the format sequence always in disk 0. How does WinPE 2.0 determine the disk order and how can we change the order so that the local SAS disks are always disk 0, 1 and 2 (in this case we have three disks in RAID configured) Thanks you if you review and even answer this question. 2. Hi I used HP Smartstart Toolkit to add HP drivers to my winpe 2.0 boot disk in order to be able to use hwdiscovery and conrep. When the cpqasm2.sys driver is loaded on the HP DL380G4, high FAN activity starts. I started winpe2.0 without the cpqasm2.sys driver and all FAN activity stayed normal, however I was not able to use hwdiscovery. (missing healthdriver = cpqasm2.sys) The driver is derived from Smart Start Scripting ToolKit 1.8 because the driver found in Smart Start 7.90 does not work (error when loading) Is there a driver that does not cause this high FAN activity and is suitable for winpe 2.0.
