  2. A new technology capable of storing the equivalent of 100 DVDs on a single DVD-size disc has been unveiled by researchers from London's Imperial College. The storage medium, called Multiplexed Optical Data Storage or MODS, was revealed at the Asia-Pacific Data Storage Conference 2004 in Taiwan on Monday by lecturer Peter Torok. The development team said MODS can potentially store up to one terabyte (1,000 gigabytes) of data on one standard-size disc--enough for 472 hours of film, or every episode of the Simpsons. It would also have applications in enterprise data back-up and distribution. http://news.com.com/Simpsons+swallowed+who...ml?tag=nefd.top
  3. when you boot your computer what speed does it say. If it says 900Mhz too, then you probably accidently touched your dip switches on your motherboard.
  4. I have the same problem! I was giving someone a compressed file, and I went to extract it and when opening it said I didn't have permission, or that it didnt exist. Continuing to click it would say either. (And no im not stupid, I didn't open the server). And none of the files would work. But on my virtual PC, the zip worked fine. Other zips and other compressed files work fine on my comp. Kind of odd. *makes puzzled face* And no im not infected. Ive tried different zip clients and just double clicking on the executable. I also sent it to a friend compressed and he said it extracted fine. Im confused!

  9. LOL! Looks like your computer thinks you have dual monitors. I don't know how to fix it. I've never had dual monitors but at least I have you in the right direction...
