Using nLite 1.4, downloaded 4 days ago, I integrated my orginal Win XP CD and the downloaded network version of SP2, then used RVM integrator 1.4.3 to integrate Post SP2 hotfixes into new Xp-SP2 file. I used the unattended option to enter user name, region, and product key and then created an ISO image. When testing in Virtual PC 2007 it could not install 3 files, but the below file was not one of them, so I skipped them. When testing everything seemed going well until it got to Install Windows. Then I got: Error: Sys.dll syntax error in manifest or policy file "D:\I386\ASMS\70\mfst\windows\mswincrt.man." (File was in the I386 folder used for original integration. Files from original CD were copied to desktop before integration.) Error: Installation failed D:\I386\ASMS." Error message: A component's file does not match the verification information present the component manifest. I used the How2 article from the June 2007 Maximum PC as my guide in making my first attempt to slipstream a boot disk to repair a very sluggish computer. Any help would be appreciated.
