  1. Hi, Does anyone have an idea how to troubleshoot the following problem. I have created an new XP image. After runing a sysprep (-mini) and creating an image with Ghost, I tried to restore the image on the same machine. When the image was restored and I turned on the machine it starts the Windows Professional Setup. The setup continue's normal till it comes at the Networking Setup. The blue line indicating the progress fills complete but than stops for more than 20 minutes. After that it continues and I can Join the Domain normal and finish the setup. THe sysprep.inf states [networking] InstallDefaultComponents=yes Thanks, Spieter
  2. Great! It works. Tried it again running msconfig to restart with selective startup mode (not selecting Load Startup Items). Now I was able to run the sysprep. Thanks for your help
  3. Yes I've tried to start sysprep without the command line. With the same results. Just check you suggestion and used msconfig to restart in diagnostic mode and then tried to run sysprep. Now I receive an new message: There is an incompatibility between this tool and the current operating system. Unable to continue.
  4. Hi, I was trying to create an new XP image. As a final step in that process I was running sysprep. I isued the command [RUN] "C:\sysprep\sysprep.exe -actvated -mini -reseal" but miss typed the -act(i)vated option. Sysprep was running but did not finish or shutdown or gave an eror message. It just showed an small window "Sysprep is working..." I have rebooted the system. Tried to run sysprep again (now correct). But still it does not finish. I also tried to run syspep.exe command and manually selected the option in the Sysprep Preperation Tool. But the results are the same. Does someone have any suggestions what I can do to run the sysprep succesfull? Regards, Spieter
