ok i think i did this right.. i had to check the disc i made to see what i left, wrote them down. and then opened up a new one to reselect all the items i removed. as i didn't save before and had played around looking at other things which altered the settings on the last session one. anyway here it is http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/1479...a-htpc-ini.html http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/1479...htpc-u-ini.html it was an ultimate build, and the tuner card is a dvico dual digal (first model), using the 3.63.01 drivers probably my own fault making the windows, probably took something important out, as this is the first time i've done my own lite build. but please do check over my settings and let me know what you think. thanks. ps. just incase i didn't remake them settings files right, here is a list of the options that i did leave drivers -ethernet multimedia -media center -wallpapers -windows aero -windows media codecs -windows media player network -windows firewall services -computer browser -desktop windows manager -diagnostics -internet connections sharing -multimedia class scheduler -universal plus and play -windows remote managment system -malicous software -superfletch -windows defender

ok, so i made up a lite install, took alot of stuff out except for what i thought would probably be needed. installed windows and all the drivers, then proceded to setup the tv signal in mce and it kept telling me there were no tuners installed, which they were, so i even triend reinstalling the drivers then uninstalled them and reinstalled again.. but i couldn't get mce to detect they were even there. so i just installed the full copy cause these were newer drivers for the tuner that i found and hadn't used before. but i've got it all up and running now and working, apart from resouces are alot my tied up. so i guess i just took to much out, but i don't know what it might have been though?

hey guys, after some sujestions on what i can do to make an install disc that is purly for a htpc, i've got a 600mb vista lite install disc that i thought was great, and i used it for my 2.4 celron server, and it works a treat. now i'd like to use something similar to that but have mce still there which this one was missing. can someone sugest to me the best settings to use to get it as small and least resorcefull as possible, but still do all the htpc operations thanks
