  1. I was sure that it must be only a registry setting, but all those settings and changes provided by the ms kb (and the internet too) _did not_ work. E.g. KB922847 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922847/en-us I added the mentioned keys...with no effect. At least gpedit did it. Thanks ayway. Preacher
  2. Hello folks, I found a solution for my problem on my own. Unfortunally no one in this big community could help me. At least I tried to use the Office 2003 ADM's locally with Windows XP Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) and therefore turned off the blocking functionality. And it works. I know it's only a solutinon for single workstations, but that's what I was looking for. Kind regards Preacher
  3. Hello community, I have a big problem with my Office 2003. Since SP3 (there is an KB-hotfix integrated in it which causses my trouble...) I cannot save Powerpoint presentations in file format "Powerpoint 95/97/2000/XP" any more. I found in the knowledgebase from MS a KB-article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938810) which describes this "Security-Feature" and there is also a Workaround to bring back the standard behaviour of Powerpoint 2003. I have to put some keys in the registry, so that the file type blocking is disabled. I tryed to do so, like KB-article said, but it didn't work! The other way to enable the features by setting a grouppolicy. This will not work here -> Windows NT4 domain... It is very important for me, that I can save with Powerpoint 2003 the presentations in a compatiblity-mode for Powerpoint 97. MS Office 97 is still in use here! Perhaps someone of you can help me with my problem. I already searched the internet but there are only links to the MS KB... kind regards Preacher
