  1. Recently I installed Microsoft Photo Editor from Office 2000 on my laptop, that runs Windows XP Professional. I don't mind Image and Fax Viewer but have always thought the 'effects' in Photo Editor were useful, especially if you were in a hurry or had limited experience with Fireworks or PhotoShop. Having uninstalled Photo Editor, I found an interesting problem: When I click to 'Edit' button in Image and Fax Viewer the 'Windows has encountered an with Image and Fax Viewer' message appears, and when I click debug a, 'Windows has encountered a problem with DrWatson' message appears. Explorer then freezes and restarts. Also, the Recognise File Types in Folder Options has been changed as well, with image files such as JPEG, PNG and GIF having various problems (open in Paint by default rather than Image and Fax Viewer, wrong icons displayed etc.). Now I can fix these basic file-related problems (its a hassle but doable), but the problem with Image and Fax Viewer is out of my league. If there's any advice on how to fix this problem (last resort is using the Windows Restore CD that came with the laptop - but even using System Restore to restore my laptop to an earlier date hasn't helped) would be much appreicated. Thanks in advance.
