I have a similar problem. We replaced our old servers with new 2003R2 servers and gave them new names. I found that error related to the document templates file location. When I can get the file to open in an older version of word, it takes a while. The template (Tools, templates and add-ins) is still directed to the old share \\xxxx2k\company\.....\template.dot instead of where the file is now \\xxxx02\company\....\template.dot it should have been maped to s:\...\template.dot. I can manually fix this on each file, but that is not practical with >100 users. any ideas? Jim P
