Dear All, We have around 100 Pc's to deliver and we are trying to follow the procedure for OEM activation 1.0 for windows XP , so that it will be activated automatically by checking the bios string. We did the following steps: 1.Added the BIOS string in the BIOS (Intel DQ965GF m/B) and got the memory location of that string from intel. 2.then made an oembios.ini file and we send it to Microsoft. 3.Microsoft gave us the key and have send 4 OEM signed files. 4.I created the OEM CD with winnt.sif in the I386 directory and copied the 4 oem signed files by Ms in the I386 directory and made the XP Cd. 5.Installed the XP on the PC and it goes well and it seems the winnt.sif file answered all the questions. PROBLEM : IT STILL ASKS FOR ACTIVATION. I dont know what exactly i am doing wrong. (How i created the Cd : copied the XP cd to a folder c:\root , then copied the 4 oem files in the i386 directory , and winnt.sif files in the i386 directory and then used the cdimagegui to make the ISO image and then used the nero to make CD from iso image.) Pls help me , its still not working and it took me so many days to do this but with no result. I am putting my winnt.sif file also .......................................... ;SetupMgrTag [Data] MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" [unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended FileSystem=* OemPreinstall=Yes TargetPath=\WINDOWS [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword=* EncryptedAdminPassword=NO OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=130 OemSkipWelcome=1 [userData] ProductKey="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" FullName="MOF" OrgName="MOF" ComputerName=MOF [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=4 [identification] JoinWorkgroup=WORKGROUP [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=Yes ------------------------------------------- Thanking you in anticipation Regards Harry
