  1. OK, blast from the past on this one, but I thought I'd follow up in case anyone else ran into this problem. I seem to have addressed the problem by running Sysinternals Autoruns and Googling all the different files that popped up. I found a couple of files published by Data Encryption Systems that I turned off: 1) DNHelper32.exe 2) Dk2drv.sys The DNHelper32.exe was identified as a trojan or virus / spyware at several sites I found. Thanks for the help.
  2. I am not currently having any issues with https (other than the keystrokes randomly not registering in https as wel). I did successfully update the dlls (no errors), but it did not change my problem. Thanks for the input!
  3. That is a silly question BUT, the problem does not happen in safe mode with networking. What's that mean? FYI - I use the free security software offered by my ISP (Cox High Speed).
  4. When I am typing using Internet Explorer 7 (Version 7.0.5730.11), some keystrokes are not registered and don't show up - this happens when I'm typing in a form, an input box or entering a URL address. Typically it's about 1 of every 15 keystokes, but it's definitely variable. If I am very deliberate and slow down my typing, it's not a problem. A likely related issue is that my text cursor blinks in an erradic manner in IE 7. This is not a problem in non-IE applications (Word, Excel, etc.) I have run Spybot and Adware checking for malware, and found nothing. If it matters, I'm running XP Media Center. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
