my xp pro installation cd is of the time when service pack 2 was released. now i want to integrate the cd with the latest updates available. as i red in the guide i foun that it would be easy with ryanvm or auto patcher xp rather than downloading all the updates available in microsoft website one by one, moreover i have also updated a few times from that site so i dont know which all updates i need to include without making a fresh install. can any one please help me that whether i need to include the latest version of the ryanvm/autopatcher or all the releases since the installation cd was created? also please tellme to find out the way to get the information about the updates that i need without making a free install. one more help please .since i am new to these things,though i had looked at many places what hotfix,tweaks,addons are, i am unable to understand the basic meaning of them. are they released by microsoft of others?are they different from updates? thanks in advance
