u know the windows components list? in add / remove programs, and its also on the install cd, im wonding if there is a way to edit that and if there is a way to edit the programs on there with updated ones and compeletly remove the olds ones

does anyone know how to edit the menu to add your own components in this list or switch out a program for the newer version? please help what im trying to do is update all programs so i dont have so many updates and its better to have the newest then the old ones! thanks
