Hello, Spec: Windows xp-64 SP2, Administrator logon ipod: 5th Generation, USB itunes: 7.2.0.34 Problem: The ipod will not sync 1) I have connected the USB to different ports 2) Itunes detects the ipod and lists the music tracks (however these are greyed out) 3) When I attempt to sync, there are no error messages or dialogs. It does say in the top window "synching ipod", but there are no other messages. 4) I have even attempted a restore and received the following error: "The ipod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1418)" reinstalled/re-enabled the USB device as well as creating a .bat file and running the following: regsvr32 /s softpub.dll regsvr32 /s wintrust.dll regsvr32 /s dssenh.dll regsvr32 /s rsaenh.dll regsvr32 /s gpkcsp.dll regsvr32 /s sccbase.dll regsvr32 /s slbcsp.dll regsvr32 /s mssip32.dll regsvr32 /s cryptdlg.dll regsvr32 /s initpki.dll I do know that the ipod works successfully with XP and I'm also aware that there is currently no support for XP-64. I have also have the following devices: Wacom Tablet Creative Nomad 3 Jukebox (Now disabled) Canon mp130 Printer I have posted the above on the Apple website and they have no luck. Am I missing something here ? Clayton
