  1. Is there a way to install it system wide (and not per user)?

The developer may officially provide such option in the final version. It is actually possible now, but you are not supposed to do so. Please mind it's still beta with the time bomb so not a good idea to apply it globally for all users.

Option for that would be very nice, I test this release in virtual environment anyway so there's precautions already taken.

  2. As topic's title says, when I create new user account and that user logs on first time, he gets Vista Basic theme. And so with every new user account Enabling Aero manually afterwards works fine.

What might be the cause of this behaviour? I didn't notice this prior Vista SP1. (the system where is occurs is clean installed from integrated Vista SP1 media).

    Any ideas? Thanks.

  3. Hi,

I have an weird issue with Windows PE 2.1. Absolutely every time I mount my PE image using imagex and then unmount it even without making ANY changes, my image size always increases about megabyte.

What might cause this, some log or temporary files will be created and included?

  4. Hi guys,

I´m trying out some of the builds of SP3 on my Company ...

When i Integrate the ServicePack into the source with nLite - it doesn´t accept my VLK Key of the Comapany ...

Wow, how to by pass it ... i have over 30.000 computers running windows xp sp2 on it, can´t simple change the key.

if i install sp3 on a fresh sp2 source (with the key VLK on it ) it works like a charm !

IIRC there was some known issues with volume license keys in earlier SP3 builds, but for example my current legitimate VLK key works with build 5503 like a charm so I have reason to belive this won't be an issue in final version.

  5. Hi,

As you know there is "Starting Windows Preinstallation Environment" or "Starting Bart PE" text displayed with loading bar when starting Windows PE. Where is this text located and can I change that via editing hex or some other way.

    Thanks for answering.

  6. The following is a list of the supported methods for installing Office 2003 Professional on a workstation: The executable filess for Setup will be:

    • Setuppro.exe -- Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003

    • Setupstd.exe -- Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003

    • Setupacc.exe -- Microsoft Office Access 2003

    • Setupexl.exe -- Microsoft Office Excel 2003

    • Setupfpg.exe -- Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003

    • Setupinf.exe -- Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003

    • Setupolk.exe -- Microsoft Office Outlook 2003

    • Setupone.exe -- Microsoft Office OneNote 2003

    • Setupppt.exe -- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003

    • Setuppub.exe -- Microsoft Office Publisher 2003

    • Setupstp.exe -- Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003

    • Setupwrd.exe -- Microsoft Office Word 2003

Yeah I know those setup launcher filenames, but is there a way to build them from standard Office 2003 Professional using the tool you mentioned earlier and how can I perform that? I really need to create installation source that has individual setups. Thanks for advice!
