What FPS has the best graphics? Don't get me wrong - gameplay matters much more (heck - I have a Wii...that should be obvious ). I'm just not a hardcore gamer, and I'm interested in how far things have advanced. My graphics card shouldn't be a limiting factor (512 MB onboard), but I'm running Windows Vista, so now DX10. I've still got the original Doom. Almost all of my games are old with horrible graphics (Myst!). I'm just curious what the top graphics are for the market today for FPS games, or any games for that matter. Thanks!

Whew - it finally works. Thanks a ton for all of your help. I'm still kind of surprised that it wasn't auto-detected, but I'm happy - it all ended well.

I know that the sound card is installed correctly, and that I have the correct model / driver. It works fine in my Ubuntu installation. What else could be wrong? Is there a way to force WinXP to scan for new hardware? Right click on My computer -> Choose Manage -> Choose Device Manager Now on the right side you have devices. Do you have there Unknown device (with ?) next to it or with (!)? If not left click on any device on right side of window. Then on the top of window new icon shows up that says "Scan for new hardware changes". Press it and wait to see if anything is detected. There is a "Other Devices -> Multimedia Audio Controller" listed, with a yellow questionmark and a !. (I also scanned for new hardware changes, just in case ). It says there's no driver installed, and that's about all it says. It's got the right PCI slot and everything, so that's a plus. There is no extracted .inf file. It only gave me an *.exe file, which gives an error and exits.

I've got the Touchpad Settings V6.2, and I'm in the Tapping >> Tap Zones menu. I see "Enable Tap Zones" (it's checked) and then sub-categories for each of the tap zones (top-left, top-right, etc.) and the sizes of the zones. I don't see anything about two- or three-finger tapping in the rest of the settings. Sorry for being so ignorant. Am I missing something obvious?

I've got a Synaptics Touchpad on my laptop, an Acer Aspire 5672WLMi. Right now, the basic things work (click, double-click, drag-and-drop, and scrolling). However, I would really like to have middle- and right-click functionality. Tapping with two fingers = middle-click, and tapping with three fingers = right click. I know my touchpad supports it, since it works fine in Linux. I didn't think I would have to install extra drivers, since all I had to do was edit my xorg.conf file. What do I need to do to get this thing working in WinXP Pro?
