I take it one should now remove the UMDFHostPlugin.dll plug-in that was put in place before.

Yep, v2.34 and above stable releases included support for UMDFHost processes and included a few bug fixes

FYI the plug-in didn't work in identifying that WUDFHost was running because of a USB drive being considered a "Portable Device" on a Win 10 Enterprise test system I just put together.  The "Drivers:" section was just empty.

That bug should be fixed in the last stable release? 

[Vlite can cause SP1 not to be offered by Automatic Updates]

I was reading this Microsoft knowledge base article about SP1 being prevented from being offered to users and saw vlite listed as the 7th cause?

You used the third-party program vLite to configure the system, and you may have removed required system components that have to be available for Windows Vista SP1 to be installed.

[Mp3 tags reading in Explorer]

You need the X64 and X86 codecs installed for explorer to read the ID tags, Since microsoft has rebuilt XP with x64 support you might have trouble..There is a beta Klite codec pack for 64x containing only specific 64x codecs. I have had problems with codecs on x64.
